Users

Users are the people who physically interact with the data in the program's databases. Each user has a log in name and password.

Depending on the permissions granted, each user may have limitations on the actions that can be performed on the data. Users can be local or cloud.

Local users are users who access a database on their computer or on the internal network. They can also be created on cloud databases so that their access data is synchronized across all devices, but can only be used on Windows and OSX operating systems. On mobile and web devices you will need to use a D-One access account.

Cloud users are registered users on the D-One website. These users can access all D-One management systems and manage cloud databases and can also share their database with other people.

You can invite other registered users to view and edit data from a specific database without having a direct contact.

For example: David wants to give Jen access to his database. By adding her as a cloud user within the database options, Jen will find herself in the list of her databases also David's database. It will be up to David to allow her access to all data or only to certain types of information via permissions.

Add a cloud user

Cloud users can only be added to a cloud database. Although the possibility exists, this user does not need to access the local network and can use all his devices. In addition to their databases, the user will also find those to which he has been invited in the program itself.

To add a cloud user, click the Add button and select New cloud user.

In this case you have to enter the user's email and select which permissions category they will use. An invitation email will be sent automatically. In case the user does not have a D-One account in the email, there will be instruction on how to create one.

User Categories

User categories identify what permissions users have.

In addition to the standard categories, personal categories can be created in order to better subdivide the permissions and the types of users to be created.

Through the page you can enter the desired categories, save them and start applying them to users and permissions.
